Wrap It Up
I'm playing in the backyard when Mom opens the door and tells me to wrap it up. It's dinner time.
My wrist hurts, and it's getting dark, but I don't want to quit just yet.
I need to finish my snowman. He has:
three buttons,
a carrot nose, and
a knit scarf
But it would be wrong to ignore the fact that my snowman needs one more thing: He needs arms.
I see sticks in the deep snow. I wade over to get them.
And now my snowman is perfect. I knew I could do it!

Explain It
Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:
What was the snowman missing?
What does "wrap it up" mean in this story?
