Daily(ish) Decodable: More words that end with "...le"

Today we're going to keep working on words that end in “-le” like “middle.” If your child needs more practice with this sound, start here. 

 

Now on to the lesson… 

Rhyme It Parents, read the following words out loud. Then ask your child which one does NOT rhyme with the others?

The sheep took a leap

The hen and the rooster began to peep

The horse shook his mane 

The pig gave a cheer

And the stars in the sky shone bright and clear

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:


  1. What did the cow do in the story?

  2. Without looking back, can you spell "fiddle?"
