The Daily(ish) Decodable program uses a standard format to work through one sound per day. There are simple instructions for you, the parent or caregiver, and any words in big bold letters are meant for your child to read out loud.
Today we're going to review words that end in the “-nt” blend, like “ant” and “pant.”
You can review all of the prior lessons here.
Rhyme It
Parents, read the following words out loud. Then ask your child which one does NOT rhyme with the others?

Take a Hint
One sunny day, Grant went to the park with his buddy Trent.
"Let's play hide and seek!" said Trent. But Grant wasn't listening. He was busy playing with an ant he saw in the grass.
Trent bent down and pointed to the trail. "I will count first," he hinted. Grant still didn't respond. He wasn't paying attention.
Trent needed to be more blunt, so he said, "Grant, we left your house to play hide and seek. It's now or never. This is the main event!"
That did the trick. Grant stood up and dusted off his pants. He nodded and grinned, and then ran off to hide.
-------------------------------
Explain It
Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:
What happened in the story?
How did Trent get Grant's attention?
